Vacation request

Vacation Eligibility:

• The student must have continually maintained legal status
• The student must be making normal progress towards the completion of the IEP program, including 80% minimum cumulative attendance
• Student expressly agrees to continue maintaining full-time student status upon returning from vacation

Important notes:

• This request does not automatically grant a vacation. The request will be reviewed by the school PDSO/DSO and approval may be granted or denied
• If you are traveling outside the USA, you will need a DSO signature on page 2 of your I-20
• If you do not have a valid F-1 visa on your passport, you cannot reenter the USA if you travel abroad, unless you apply for an F-1 visa in your country of permanent residence.

By signing this request, the student certifies that s/he has read the Vacation and Leave of Absence Policy and is aware that s/he is only entitled to vacation time once s/he has completed 4 consecutive courses. S/he also acknowledges that his/her vacation time cannot exceed 2 months (one term).
